The White Cross Community is providing a platform for Christian youth from Kerala and various other states to come together as volunteers and conduct a Bible awareness outreach programme among Christian families.
This is a Christian initiative focused specifically on Christian families from different denominations and communities. It is not intended to target or engage other religious communities. The primary purpose is to strengthen faith, prayer, spiritual discipline and biblical values within Christian families.
Young people and families today are facing several challenges that are affecting personal life, family relationships and society:
Excessive dependence on digital devices and social media
Increasing exposure to alcohol, drugs and other harmful habits
Weakening family relationships and responsibilities
Growing selfishness and reduced concern for others
Declining interest in prayer and spiritual life
Loss of traditional moral and family values
Confusion about purpose, responsibility and the direction of life
Reduced awareness of how faith and biblical values can guide daily decisions
When spiritual and family values gradually weaken, the effects can be seen not only in individuals but also in families and the wider community. This initiative seeks to respond to these concerns by encouraging Christian families to reflect on faith, prayer, responsibility and the importance of living according to biblical values.
At a time when many young people are becoming increasingly disconnected from prayer and spiritual life, Christian youth have taken the initiative to come forward and create awareness among Christian families.
Youth volunteers from different states are working together and conducting this outreach in their respective regions. Although the initiative is led by young people, the programme is intended for Christian families and people of different age groups within the Christian community—not only for youth.
As part of the outreach, the volunteers conduct a simple Bible awareness programme through a Bible quiz. The purpose of the quiz is not merely to test biblical knowledge, but to encourage people to read the Bible, reflect on its teachings and understand how biblical values can influence everyday life.
Through this initiative, participants are encouraged to:
Gifts of Appreciation: Small gifts are also given on the spot to encourage and appreciate the participants. These gifts help motivate people to take part in the awareness programme and make the Bible-learning experience more engaging.
